Day seven - Warrnambool to Lavers Hill

Well if the other day was amazing then today was super amazing. Started the day off with a crash - nothing serious - anne didn't hear me say turn left so when I turned left right in front of her she couldn't do anything but plough straight into me - luckily no major damage was done - it must have looked hilarious for the two people we crashed in front of !!! Never mind ... We started off along a cycle path that led us to a very quiet backroad out of warrnambool... So nice to be away from the traffic. We then hit the great ocean road and had kilometres of scenic treats - every few kms we were off our bikes looking at arches, bridges, blow holes, the 12 apostles and more. WOW WOW WOW!!! Felt like a bit of a tourist, got the camera out at every corner. What an amazing spot ... We then headed into Port Campbell for lunch and then climbed up to lavers hill where we are currently scoffing a yummy pasta dinner in the motor inn we are staying in. Splashing out on accom tonight... No tent tonight ... Great views and you should see the size of the Lemon meringue pie oh my god!!! I have never seen anything like it in my life. Off to eat now .. It was another great day on the bikes... Got a huge downhill in the morning .... Woo hoo yipeee yip yip

  1. Just checked out the map - you have come so far in such a short time. Well done, incredible, excellent. I hope the downhill tomorrow is long and speedy - but no more crashes please. Hey next time you will have to take some of those cool headphone walkie talkies so you can chat to each other - just like on Long Way Down with Ewan McGregor!
